we have a wonderful collection of tasty canned fish. That's why we made a tasting box years ago, so that you can explore the wide selection - a selection of canned fish with everything good from the sea. The tasting box is very popular, and in the following years we received many requests for new tasting boxes - e.g. smaller ones, some that could be given as gifts.

Should the gift be given with inspiration?

In the autumn of 2021, Martin Grøndal, founder of Grøndals, will issue a cookbook with suggestions for dishes and recipes that can be made with canned fish. In the cookbook you get inspiration for both hot and cold dishes as well as snacks and lunch dishes with warm sardines or a homemade mackerel in tomato.

The cookbook also contains the story behind Grøndals and how Martin Grøndal grew up with a grandfather who loved tinned fish. In the book, Martin gives his view on why canned fish still has its justification to this day, and why the cheap canned fish for luxury canned fish is frowned upon.
