Original drizzles in olive oil. The small herring is gently cleaned by hand and steamed, after which it is placed in a tin with a transparent lid - the fine sprinkling is very creamy and has a wonderful mild taste of herring.
Sprouts in olive oil, or Nordic sardines as they are also called, are a particularly delicious herring fish and the finest olive oil. Brislinger from Grøndals is produced in the traditional way in Latvia. The small Nordic sardine is of the species spratus spratus and is best known as canned sprats. The soft umami and the healthy fatty acids present the sprinkles characteristic taste.
Although sprats are mainly used as industrial fish, in the production of fishmeal, sprats are a noble food. Among other things, it is very well known as a semi-canned, under the name 'boneless herring', which is most often used on a Wiener schnitzel like 'a boy' with capers, horseradish and lemon. But now they are also known as Nordic sardines. The good craftsmanship gives the splashes a rich and delicate taste and a wonderful texture, and the high quality of the fish is perfectly preserved in the glasses. Both consistency, taste and appearance are paramount, and the mild olive oil gives space for the sprinkles to unfold completely.
