Tasty and beautiful canned cockles!

The formidable cockles in lightly salted brine are harvested in the wild coastal marine environment around Galicia in Spain. The mussels are particularly meaty with a slightly spongy and juicy texture, where the flavor notes lead you towards sweet seafood and fresh sea. A combination that makes them particularly unique and inviting.

The cockles from Grøndals are produced by Pujado Solano, located in northern Spain. The Spanish mussels also go by the name Ensis Magnus , and are reared responsibly in environmentally safe units.

Normally I am not impressed by preserves in brine, but these mussels, like the knife clams , are something special, and therefore cannot be without in our exquisite range. Buy canned cockles from Grøndals and impress your loved ones with an exquisite meal they won't soon forget.

This is how you can use your cockles

The cockles are rich in protein and minerals, and work perfectly for both lunch and dinner. If you want to enjoy the sweet taste of the mussels, simply serve them as they are on a plate with a little salt or herbs.

Personally, I prefer to prepare them as simply as possible with good strong olive oil, flaked salt and good with lemon.

The mussels are also suitable for risotto and pasta dishes.
